Sun Ra (né Herman Poole Blount) disait qu'il venait de Saturne, principalement parce que les USA "blancs" le traitait comme un "alien". Alors il en devint un. Pour célébrer les 100 ans du maître malheureusement défunt (il est né en 1914) Struts'allie avec Art Yard pour proposer cette collection de 20 titres du maître du free jazz, compilée par MArshall Allen, unique membre vivant du Arkestra. Avec plus de 100 albums à son actif, Sun Ra était un visionnaire qui alliait inspirations jazz et influences africaines, fusionnant le tout de manière libre. Influencé par l'espace, l'Egypte antique ainsi que la mythologie, sa musique a eu un impact primordial sur toute la musique moderne. Une compilation référence pour un artiste culte qui traverse les cultures, le temps et les générations.
